A celebration 12 years in the making at Royal International Miss

Royal International Miss welcomed its international contingency of delegates, family, and supporters to Orlando, Florida in a celebration of twelve years of Royal International Miss pageantry. This was a celebration that has been a dozen years in the making with the international delegates vying for the fourteen coveted crowns of Royal International Miss consisting of Royal International Miss Princess, Royal International Miss Sweetheart, Royal International Miss Pre-Teen, Royal International Miss Jr. Teen, Royal International Miss Teen, Royal International Miss, and Royal International Miss Ms. In addition to the seven Royal International Miss titles, representatives were also competing for the desired divisional titles in the Royal International Miss Role Model competitions. That makes seven divisions competing for fourteen titles, all in celebration of twelve great years of pageantry.

In the quest for the crowns of Royal International Miss, the delegates would compete in the required competitions of Interview/Introduction (a personal one-on-one interview with each judge where the interview questions come from the onstage introduction), Fashion Wear (modeling a fashion forward outfit of their choice and should be an one which showcases the contestant’s personal sense of fashion and their personality), and Evening Gown (a floor length gown for all divisions presenting their individual sense of style).

Complimenting the required competitions, Royal International Miss offers a cornucopia of optional competitions which allow delegates to showcase other talents and accomplishments. The Optional competitions included Royal Top Model (an on-site professional photo shoot and runway presentation), Purple Passion (a contestant favorite and Royal International Miss exclusive whereby a contestant models an ensemble of their choosing in the color purple), Talent (limited to a two minute performance), Casual Wear (outfit of choice and may enter more than once), Photogenic (color or black and white accepted), State Wear (outfit representing their state or country), and Fitness (fitness wear for pre-teen and above divisions). Want more? One can also compete for recognition in Community Awareness Apparel, Portfolio, International Supermodel (free), Power of the Crown, Academic Excellence, International Scrapbook (free), Community Service Portfolio (free), International Appearance Award (free), and Regal Excellence Award (free).

Royal International Miss commenced the week with registration and show rehearsals throughout the day, separated by age divisions. However, opening day would not be complete without a celebration. First, contestants and supporters were treated to the Welcome Party, an opportunity to meet one another and share the Royal International experience. Next, the annual and highly anticipated Queen’s Reception Luau Party. With the anxiety and first day nervous energy dissipated, many were welcomed to the Talent Run-Through.

Bright and early the next morning, the Royal International Miss week’s itinerary began with rehearsals, and both required and optional competitions permeated throughout the host venue. Depending on the division, this consisted of Introduction, Interview, Spokesmodel, Royal Top Model photo shoot, Casual Wear, Purple Passion, more interviews, and more rehearsals. How would Royal International Miss complete the day? The Royal Cruise Welcome Dinner and Party were everyone wore their best cruise and nautical fashions.
