Teranicouture.com is a sophisticated, Flash-animation-driven web site that clients can use to great advantage to view the company’s collections and learn where to find its products at the retail level. It’s navigational tools are outstanding, with links placed down the left side of the home page that bring visitors to the company’s online Prom, Evening Gown and Cocktail collections, Gold Label, Mother of the Bride, and Suits divisions. Each of these links opens a door to a division’s own individual site. For example, click on Terani Prom and you reach Teraniprom.com, where some 21 pages, each featuring five styles, can be examined for size, color, and fabric details. Zooming the photo of any single style brings up a new window with additional photographic views, such as closer looks at the back of the dress and close-ups of the design’s details. Teranicouture.com browsers can also can look up retail showrooms that carry Terani collections, find a list of shows and events the company plans to attend; and navigate to other doing-business links, such as those for ordering the Terani catalog, registering your customer contact information in the company’s database, and contacting the company directly.

Please identify three characteristics about your designs and business services that you are known for.
Terani is known for being a fashion-forward line with an emphasis on craftsmanship, fabrication, and beautiful details. We work hard to build a personal relationship with our customers. Each design is a canvas on which we instill our passion for functional, feminine, and luxuriant design.

How do you keep your design ideas current?
We look to the world for inspiration, from European couture to glamorous Hollywood and current trends. Our styles are developed after careful study of the latest trends in the top fashion markets of the world. We take special care to source only the finest fabrics and dedicate a large portion of our design effort to ensure proper fit as well as quality control.

What fashion looks and fabric-usage trends do you predict will emerge in the coming year or two?
We see two very different trends will be emerging: One, clean dresses with great fabrics; the other, very embellished couture designs.

What design trends do you predict will fade from the fashion scene?
We believe that overly sexy dresses will fade from the fashion scene in the coming months.

What aspects of the fashion business bring you the greatest satisfaction?
We truly enjoy the process of creating our collections and then hearing the reaction from our satisfied customers.
