Please identify three characteristics about your designs and business services that you are known for.
Our designs are in step with the demand and trend for the young american girl. We try to fulfill her dream by offering her the most beautiful dress for her high school prom. That’s where we begin. We cater to the desire of a young woman who wants to look gorgeous when she is at any special occassion wearing an Interlude design dress. The stores that buy our designs help us distribute these dream fulfilments. If you’re in the Los Angeles area, you can visit the company’s factory and showroom, which is located in the heart of Los Angeles’ garment district.
Tell us about your web site.
Interludeusa.com opens on a sophisticated splashy splash page combining Flash animation featuring the company's lines and rollover links to these five divisions: Prom, Short & Sweet dresses, Couture Evenings, Brides, and Fall collections. Links across the top of each page allow visitors to take care of business: view the collection, locate a store, inspect print fashion campaign photos, log in to a retailer account, and learn more about the company and contact its customer service representatives. Selecting the "View Collection" link brings up the company’s slick showcase of individual dress styles, featuring front- and back-view photos that can be zoomed to full-screen height — great for examining the dresses’ detailing. To the right in these page views is a frame of thumbnail photos of six dresses and links to additional pages like this opener.
How do you keep your design ideas current?
Our motto is to be trendy and be in step with the demand. A good design that is not the trend of today is not our choice.
As a designer, where do you receive the most satisfaction?
My satisfaction comes from making the most marketable designs (which is also the most desired one).
What fashion looks and fabric-usage trends do you predict will emerge in the coming year or two?
I dont have a crystal ball to see the future... but the trends we see today change tomorrow due to several factors. Global warming, looks like is bringing in demand for more white dresses and even fall shades are getting lighter except for Black which is an all time color.
What design trends do you predict will fade from the fashion scene?
The big ball gown designs; they seem to be receding. Sexy, tight styles are more “in.”
What aspects of the fashion business bring you the greatest satisfaction?
It’s all about pleasing her and getting her excited.
