Ms. Liberty America International - Staci Shands of Brooklyn, NY, was crowned Ms. Liberty America International 2007. She is the former Ms. New York 2006. Ms. Shands is the first national queen to win the crown and title of this new pageant designed to honor women between the ages of 40 to 79. Ms. Shands is a book publicist and an entrepreneur, whose company, Icats Publicity, LLC, focuses on publicizing authors, artists, corporations and non-profit organizations. As a Type 1 diabetic, Staci promotes diabetes awareness and volunteers at DIVAbetic, an organization for the education and empowerment of women living with, at risk of, and affected by diabetes.
