We put all of Jena's hair on one side and secured it with a rhinestone barrette. Taking section by section, we then barrel curled the hair and clipped up each section with bobbie pins. Use strong-hold hairspray to set your look.

We did a French twist and brought the hair up to the top. We used a small barrel curling iron on the hair on top. We left out part of the bangs and clipped back other pieces.

This style is best on shoulder-length hair. We used a rhinestone headband to secure the front. We sectioned the back and put in small ponytails all over, then wrapped hair around the base and left hair tousled and wild.

We hot rolled all of Melanie's hair in large rollers. We teased the top for lift, pulled the hair to the side in a low ponytail and used a rhinestone round barrette. Finish with hairspray.

We hot rolled Misty's hair on medium-size rollers and pulled her hair back in a rhinestone headband.

Helpful Styling Tools:

blowdryer artBlow Dryer -- Blow drying your hair gives lift, extra body, and much more fullness. Also, if you use styling brushes, first heat a section then use your cool-down button to set the style while still holding the hair on the brush.

curling iron artCurling Iron -- If you use a thermal setting spray, you'll get longer lasting hold. Spray each section before you roll.

Hot Rollers -- Spray each section before you roll. Roll on base. Start at end of hair, and roll to scalp holding roller securely. You'll have more lift and a better set.

pick artPick -- A comb-and-pick in one makes styling hair easier. Have metal ends with fine-tooth comb. Great for teasing. Gives you super lift.

vent brush artVent Brush -- Heat goes through the brush which sets the hair much faster.

Round Brush -- Practice with a round brush. You'll get great lift and smooth ends. You'll love it.

Mousse, Gel, Foam, Wax, etc. -- Learn what different styling products do for your hair. Read labels. Ask your stylist questions. Products really do help in styling your hair, holding a set longer, getting lift, and in protecting your hair!

diffuser artDiffuser -- If you have a perm or naturally curly hair, drying your hair in a diffuser will keep it from frizzing, give it more body, and give you healthier looking hair.

...and a Bonus Prom Tip!shoe art

Wear shoes that will be comfortable. Achy feet make for a long night!
