your look ● hairstyles By Kristy Schanel Baby’s Got Bounce Bring back the loose, lively curls of your youth for a convenient and fun look for any occasion this fall I t’s not just for Curly Sue anymore. Vivacious locks for all, as fall hairstyles start to become more loose and let down after the hot summer. Casual hair with a smart scarf or sweater is the way to go for any young lady this season. Plus, simply having your hair down will keep your neck warm. It’s a win, win. This look that I chose for Hannah was inspired by the early Taylor Swift years. Not only because she looks like her (a lot), but it is youthful and fun for any occasion and age. This hairstyle works for a number of instances and can also be used as a foundation for an up do. For fall, it will look great with a homecoming dress, instead of a stuffy up do, or for the later fall and winter weddings you can dress it up with a rhinestone comb or clip. It’s an easy and fun way to wear your hair. Be sure to use a light hold hairspray on your hair before each curl and a medium hold hairspray at the end, for a more dependable and convenient hold. Make an effort to not overwork or touch the hair afterward, because it will lead to loose curls and frizz. To achieve this amazing-yet-simple look, follow these basic steps: LIGHTEN UP Prep damp hair with a light mousse or gel and a heat protecting serum/oil. The hold product you choose really depends on your hair texture. Just remember that you don’t want your hair looking over-gelled or heavy. The look you are trying to achieve is bouncy and light. ALMOST DRY Power-dry the hair until it is 80% dry. Then, use a round brush to finish the blow dry, lifting at the root.
