Trump signs the final paper work to bring the worldwide event to Moscow, the largest metropolitan area in Europe Mr. Trump made the announcement during the live telecast of the Miss USA pageant and was joined on stage by Aras Agalarov, Founder and President of Crocus Group, and Emin Agalarov, Vice President of Crocus Group to sign the official contract. This year's contest will feature women from approximately 90 countries, all bidding to be crowned Miss Universe 2013. The pageant is watched by an estimated 1 billion television viewers around the world, making it one of the highest rated live events. In front of a press corps of international media, Trump an- nounced that he is thrilled that the contest will be staged in the magnificent city of Moscow and thanked Crocus Group for host- ing it. "This will be one of the biggest and most beautiful Miss Universe events ever," said Trump. "It is only fitting that the world's most iconic and premier beauty contest will take place in Russia's most premier venue, Crocus City Hall," he added. MOVIES Megan Alexander, Space Warrior? M egan Alexander, of Pageantry’s Beyond the Spotlight col- umn and TV’s Inside Edition, has a cameo role in the new movie Space Warriors. She plays a CNN reporter recounting the tragic events making international news in the film. Space Warriors is about six highly skilled teenagers who are handpicked to be part of a summer space camp competition at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. As the competition heats up, the kids have no idea that their ultimate challenge will be to solve a dangerous crisis aboard the Interna- tional Space Station as the world anxiously watches! Madison has already started playing piano, just like her mom did at the Miss America Pageant. □ MISS AMERICA ORGANIZATION Miss America 2003 Erika Harold to Run for a House Seat E rika Harold, who won the 2003 Miss America pageant, an- nounced that she's mounting a Re- publican primary challenge to Representative Rodney Davis in Illi- nois. Rodney Davis has come under fire in recent months for his less than conservative voting record. Making her announcement by video, Harold said she was “blessed to have had some incredible oppor- tunities,” including her year-long tenure as Miss America, along with her degree from Harvard Law School, which her website says she financed thanks to scholar- ships from her pageant win. □
