ecki Ronen Walenz, a graduate
of Kansas State University and
former Miss Kansas 2009, and
public advocate for the arts,
has released her first solo
trumpet CD for sale.
Becki received her undergraduate de-
gree from Kansas State University in
Trumpet Performance in May 2011,
where she studied with Dr. Gary Morten-
son. She is currently a student at the
Crane School of Music in Potsdam, New
York, working toward her Master of
Music degree where she studies with Dr.

listening reference that music teachers
and students can utilize to strengthen
their understanding of the trumpet and
the music that is written for it.

TRUMPETING HER OWN CAUSE: The
music on the CD is not readily accessible on
YouTube or iTunes. Becki hopes the CD will
be a learning tool and listening reference that
teachers and budding trumpet students
across the country can utilize to strengthen
their understanding of the trumpet and the
music that is written for it.
